16 - 19 February 2009, Tripoli, Libya
The oil and gas industry is the driving force behind Libya’s economic development, providing the massive investment needed for the country’s ambitious infrastructure plans. In order to achieve their objectives, oil production will be raised from the 2006 level of 1.6 million b/d to 2 million b/d by 2010. Libya estimates it will need to attract US$30 billion foreign direct investment in the petroleum sector.
Taking place against this background of major investment, Oil & Gas Libya 2009 offers Canadian exporters an unparalleled market opportunity.
Trade visitors to the exhibition will include petroleum engineers and geoscientists, government and private sector planners, specifiers and procurement officials involved in Libya's energy sector as well as specialist contractors, consultants and trading agents.
Oil & Gas Libya, and its sister event Infrastructure Libya have been developed directly out of the former Projex Libya, emphasizing the importance of their themes to Libya’s economic progress.
Canada is a global leader in the O&G sectors, and a Canada Pavilion exhibitor group is planned to showcase this expertise. Supported by the Canadian Embassy in Tripoli, exhibitors at Oil & Gas Libya 2009 will have the best possible opportunity of establishing or increasing their market presence.
